- Spell checking: based on the Hunspell dictionary also used by LibreOffice/OpenOffice, but with more than 10,000 new entries (all checked manually)
- More than 2,000 error detection rules for English that go beyond spell checking and can find errors depending on context. For example:
- Uppercase: This house is old. it was built in 1950. →
- Grammar: Please answers quickly. →
- Punctuation: "I'm over here, she said. →
- Confused words: They were largely on there own that night. →
- Date check: It was released on Thursday, 27 June 2017. →
- HTTP API using JSON as its output format. The input is just plain text. The text language can be detected automatically.
- Unlike services such as Grammarly, we support English and German and offer basic support for 12 additional languages: Catalan, Chinese, Dutch, French, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian
- Performance: about 300 ms per 1000 characters
